Developing Taste Your Dreams in 2012 with a goal of making special moments even more special, Melissa Driscal is a passionate event baker who loves every moment of delivering to her customers what they desire the most: pure symbolism, delicious beauty, and a celebration worth savoring. To date, Melissa brings with her an extensive background filled with trials, errors, and a whole lot of prayers that were all motivated by her unwillingness to let dreams remain just dreams. But despite the winding journey, Melissa has become a highly respected baker in and around Ypsilanti, Michigan; best known for exceeding customer expectations, her ingrained work ethic, and for valuing perfection just as much as her customers do.
Committed to helping all walks of life unlock their unique versions of success and happiness, Melissa created Taste Your Dreams after spending years working in various grocery store bakeries and other full-service bakeries. Though initially a hobby, Melissa craved to wake up each morning doing what she loved, a flame that ultimately empowered her to launch Taste Your Dreams in 2012. Fast forward to today and after years of growing her brand all on her own, Taste Your Dreams has become a go-to outlet for those seeking to accentuate their most cherished moments. Even more, it is one that places transparency and customer vision first and acts as a gentle reminder of how sweet life can be when you don't allow your dreams to fade.
Overall, nothing makes Melissa happier than being able to leave lasting impressions on everyone that she serves, because she bakes from the heart. Whether it be custom wedding cakes, adorable baby shower cupcakes or special deliveries for those celebrating another year around the sun, Melissa demonstrates her passions by delivering tailored, flavorful/gorgeous creations that ultimately go beyond the taste buds and inspire others to live out their dreams. What began as a mere hobby in Melissa's cozy kitchen corner soon transformed into something extraordinary. The first platform? Selling baked wonders at work. As the aroma of fresh pastries wafted through the office, Melissa found unexpected fans in coworkers. Their love and appreciation became the fuel to the fire of Melissa's passion.
With grit and determination, and perhaps a touch of naivety in the early days, Melissa embarked on the road to professional baking. In 2011, she introduced the world to "Dulce Divine", a name that would resonate with only a few. As the years passed and skills refined, 2017 saw the metamorphosis into "Taste Your Dreams", reflecting the evolution of her craft and vision.
Each day was a canvas for learning - from observing the masters to personally practicing with intricate designs. Melissa has always set the bar high, both personally and professionally. Doubts and skepticism from others only ignited her competitive spirit. Proving naysayers wrong wasn't just a desire; it was a thrilling mission.
As time flowed, Melissa's bond with the world of baking and pastry artistry deepened. The initial anxiety of venturing into uncharted techniques evolved into confidence and finesse. And as Melissa was once guided by seasoned bakers, today she passionately passes on the craft to budding enthusiasts.
Above all, Melissa perceives Gods divine touch in this journey. For every hurdle, every moment of uncertainty, was but a dot in God's majestic painting. He envisioned not just a baker, but an artist, a mentor, a story-teller. And the cherry on top? Being lovingly nicknamed: "Missy Cakes" by her mother, a nickname that today epitomizes Melissa's dedication, love, and artistry in the world of baking.
