Terms & Conditions
INGREDIENTS
All cakes, fillings and icings may contain, or come into contact with, soy, wheat, dairy, nuts or other allergens.
It is the responsibility of the Customer to inform Taste Your Dreams by Melissa LLC prior to the confirmation of their booking, of any allergy / intolerance issues. It is the responsibility of the customer to inform their guests of all allergy / intolerance information, and accordingly the Supplier will not be held liable for any allergic reaction resulting from consumption of the baked goods.
All special dietary products are NOT guaranteed suitable for allergies and are suitable for intolerances only.
All products are made to be eaten on the day of the celebration.
QUOTATIONS
All Quotations are valid for 7 days from the date of issue.
If in the event the desired date has been filled by another order / customer, prior to the customer confirming the booking, Taste Your Dreams by Melissa LLC is not obliged to take the quote

ORDERS
Here at Taste Your Dreams by Melissa LLC, I require at least 72 hours’ notice for all orders, as I am continually being booked in advance. And 4-6 weeks for weddings or larger events. We will however endeavor, where availability permits, to accept short notice orders.
Any Products ordered from a picture or photo, of a product produced by any other cake maker, can only be reproduced by Taste Your Dreams by Melissa LLC as my interpretation of that product and will NOT be an exact reproduction of the product in the picture or photo.
DEPOSITS
Option 1: You can either pay in full OR option 2: I require a 50 a non-refundable deposit to book your order.
Please understand that when I book an order, I decline other orders. It’s similar to a hotel reservation, once the 50% non-refundable deposit has been invoiced and paid, your event date it has been reserved and placed onto my calendar as a place holder. The remaining balance of 50% is to be paid one week prior to your event. The order must be finalized one week prior as well (flavors, sizes, day/time of delivery, etc.) I will not start working on the order until it is paid in full. Once the deposit/full payment is received, the order is confirmed. A order summary and invoice will be sent to the email address that you provided. The invoice will include all information asked for on the initial order form. I only accept cards as a form of payment: I don't accept cash or checks. ***Please note that any deposit paid via PayPal or with credit card incurs a surcharge of 3% additional fee.
UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES
Where Taste Your Dreams by Melissa LLC cancels the booking due to illness or any other unforeseen circumstance that affects the ability to deliver the ordered product, the deposit will be refunded within seven (7) days of notification to the customer.
The deposit will be refunded via bank transfer only, and the customer will need to provide these bank details to Taste Your Dreams by Melissa LLC.
***Please note that any final balance paid via PayPal or with credit card incurs an additional charge of 3%.
DELIVERY
Delivery will be carried out in a safe and appropriate manner. Once delivered to the customer and change of hands has been completed with the product in appropriate condition, it is then up to the customer to store and care for the cake as per Taste Your Dreams by Melissa LLC instructions. If anything is to happen to the cake after this exchange and is deemed to be the fault of the customer through not following the instructions provided, Taste Your Dreams by Melissa LLC is not liable for any damages.
Both parties will agree on a delivery date and time. If the customer is not at the agreed location, time and date, Taste Your Dreams by Melissa LLC is not able to contact the customer. The product will be transported back with Taste Your Dreams by Melissa LLC at the licensed kitchen location given, and it will be the customer’s responsibility to collect the product at a time that suits: Taste Your Dreams by Melissa LLC.
I’m also certified with a: Serv Safe Managers food license with the National Restaurant Association in the state of Michigan from years: 2023- 2028. All three licenses are required for me to work in a licensed kitchen with the Washtenaw County Health Department.
PUBLICATION
Taste Your Dreams by Melissa LLC reserves the right to use any image of a product made by us for publication later.
Taste Your Dreams by Melissa LLC will endeavor to not: post any photos on social media or other platforms until after your event has taken place or provide photos of the process before the order is delivered. Photos of the finished product may be used on @tasteyourdreams1 on either Instagram or Facebook. Feel free to share your order on your social media & tag me so I can see!
By signing this contract, you grant Taste Your Dreams by Melissa LLC permission to use any images you provide. This includes, but is not limited to, photos from children's birthday parties and other events.
GIFT VOUCHERS
Any Gift Vouchers or Flyers being redeemed will only be honored if the delivery date is within the expiry period of the voucher.
The voucher or flyer must be presented upon delivery of the baked goods, otherwise the items cannot leave the premises. The voucher must be surrendered upon delivery of baked goods, as is treated like cash.
DAMAGE
It is the responsibility of the customer to check the state of the product before I leave the premises, after delivery. It is our responsibility to ensure that the product is stored at the proper temperature per baked item type and whether the event is indoor or outdoor.
The instructions from Taste Your Dreams by Melissa LLC are provided to the achieve best results for taste and quality and to avoid any damage.
Other considerations are:
1.
THIRD PARTY DELIVERY
If the customer is unavailable at the time of delivery and a third party accepts the baked goods, all pertinent details will be shared with this third party. The terms and conditions for direct collection by the customer will remain applicable.
2.
SERVING SIZES
Standard serves are based on a size of 1″ x 2″ x 3”-4″ high. All initial cake serving sizes provided are preliminary estimates. A final serving count will be confirmed and finalized one week prior to the event to ensure accuracy and satisfaction. The Customer understands and accepts these terms and must order their products accordingly after having considered these variables.
3.
POSTPONEMENT
If for any reason the event is required to be postponed, please contact me immediately.
The new date proposed will be subject to availability.
4.
CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS
1) If the cancellation is up to one (1) month in advance of your event date, you will receive a refund of your initial deposit and the cost of any supplies already purchased for your cake.
2) If the cancellation is less than seven (7) days prior to your event, there will be absolutely no refunds given.
3) Refunds will be paid within 30 days of cancellation.
4) The funds, if owed, will be refunded via bank transfer only, and the customer will need to provide these bank details to: Taste Your Dreams by Melissa LLC.
Please note: Any non-refunded balance may be credited toward future purchases, by the decision of: Taste Your Dreams by Melissa LLC.
